Association Members Recognized by TA and Petro

Named 2014 Citizen Driver Award Winners

TravelCenters of America and Petro Stopping Center recognized association members Bob and Linda Caffee of Silex, MO. with the second annual Citizen Driver Award by renaming the Petro Stopping Center in North Las Vegas the “Bob and Linda Caffee Petro Stopping Center.” They were one of seven drivers selected in March at the Mid-America Truck Show in Louisville, KY. for this recognition.

TA and Petro created the Citizen Driver Award to recognize [those] drivers who earn public respect for our industry through good citizenship, safety, community involvement, health and wellness, and leadership. The Caffee industry involvement certainly fits the bill.

Linda is a member of the Board of Directors of Women in Trucking; they both are involved with Trucker Buddy International, a pen pal program with school children, and the Trucking Solutions Group which fosters “best practices” to improve their businesses. Together, they operate their Casscadia (aka. “Caffcadia”) Freightliner as a husband-wife team under contract with FedEx Custom Critical.

TA and Petro have begun the process of selecting their 2015 Citizen Driver Award nominees.
