Program Updates – June / July 2014
The CCTA scholarship committee and CCTA staff is proud of Teddi and sharing in the joy of her success. Teddi is the recipient of several CCTA scholarships over the past four years. This young lady is not only daughter of Doug and Mickie Nichols, who are very active within the association, but Teddi attends scholarship fundraisers when she is not hard at work with her school responsibilities and duties. She also volunteered to help guide new scholarship applicants with the application process. Congratulations and keep up the good work. We expect to hear great things about all your future accomplishments.
Teddi was kind enough to send a thank you note and we wanted to share it with the membership, “I am extremely grateful and appreciative that I could be a recipient of the CCTA scholarship. This scholarship has truly helped me to pursue my dream of being an Agriculture Teacher. I would not have been able to achieve graduation without this scholarship. Thank you so much to the Scholarship Committee for choosing me as a recipient for the scholarship.”
The Scholarship committee hopes that stories like this inspire members to encourage their children and grandchildren to work hard towards achieving their education goals. All it takes is a complete application, good grades and CCTA membership connections to be eligible to apply for a scholarship award from the CCTA. This program is also available to employees of CCTA member’s children and grandchildren.
As the association continues to grow, so do the fundraising efforts. We understand the struggles and financial hardship that many of our members face. This is just one way the association tries to give back to those in need and alleviate some financial stress. For those members’ children and grandchildren, who have been fortunate enough to receive a CCTA scholarship, we ask that you continue to support this great program.
The CCTA staff and scholarship committee would like to thank all the regular members and affiliate members who participate in fundraising events and through their regular donations.
Come join us July 19 at the Superior Trailer Works facility in Fontana. The list of donations keeps growing. This is just a partial list of auction items: sporting event tickets, Goodyear blimp ride tickets, golf clubs, gift cards, tools, truck supplies, flat screen TVs, BBQ grill and much more. The fun around the dunk-tank is itself worth coming and watching!
