Scholarship Updates December 2013

One of the special moments at our recent meeting in Newport Beach was the time spent to honor the founding members of the Scholarship Committee.

Jerry Hayworth had the vision to start the Scholarship Fund in 1991. With this small group of founders, the Scholarship Fund has now has helped over 200 children and grandchildren of both regular members and affiliate members attend college.

Northern Membership Director, Betty Plowman prepared a video presentation, with pictures of the original founding members, including Janice Dobbs, who passed away in 2010, and Jane Schmidt, who now resides in Nevada and was unable to attend.
